After completing Bachelor’s in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Kantipur Engineering College (2003-2007) I was involved in the management of Brain Works Learning Solution Center Pvt. Ltd., then Microsoft Gold Certified Partner for Learning Solution as the Program Director. Professionally I was involved in the conceptualization and establishment of the organization as well as creating management & Technological awareness among the customers from academic sectors, government bodies, and IT industry of the country and organizing several high-end training & support. From 2008-2009, I was the Community/Academic Lead at Microsoft Nepal. I was engaged voluntarily in Information Technology Society Nepal as Secretary, First Vice President, and president from 2007 to 2018. I was also the coordinator and founder of the “Education with ICT ” project under ITS-Nepal, whose mission was to promote ICT-enabled education in public schools.
I did my Masters in Information and Communications Engineering from the Technische Hochschule Mittel-Hessen (THM), Germany (2012) with a focus on electronic communication and Matlab/LabView based projects. I have been engaged as an adjunct faculty member at different colleges/universities teaching engineering and management graduates since 2013.
I joined Teach for Nepal in 2014 as a Recruitment and Selection Manager. My engagement widened both horizontally and vertically from RSM to community and fundraising. Later I got promoted to Operation and RSM Director on prioritizing the organization’s four strategic goals besides other engagements. Leading the team in producing 7 cohorts of outstanding fellows (around 400 fellows from around 50 thousand registrations), my work has impacted the lives of more than 30k students and significantly improved our schools’ overall outcome. The innovative approach with diverse engagement has strengthened the organization’s sustainability and scalability.
I did my second Master’s in Development Management from the Asian Institute of Management in the Philippines (2018). In addition to mastering the fundamentals of development and management theories, I was involved in Rapid Area Assessment of Pasay City (Brg. 186), Managerial Immersion at CARD MRI (CMDI), field review of community-based enterprise in Tacloban (Funded by ADB and Implemented by Plan International) and management research report on preparing a strategy to improve the education system of Nepal.
I have engaged myself in both the front and backend of Disaster Risk management. During the earthquake, I engaged myself in the management team to support families and students by providing resources like materials for temporary shelter, food supplies, WASH, and teaching learning materials. Besides this, I was also been engaged as a national consultant of the Caritas Switzerland-Nepal school rehabilitation project. During the pandemic, I focused on engaging in the community. I raised funds to support thousands of underprivileged individuals (LGBTQIA, single women, landless and Dalit families) from different districts with monthly food supplies and free health transportation services. I worked as a consultant in NSET for Technical Support for Resilient Community (TESREC) program. My task was to prepare TESREC experience of learning for scaling up the model villages in Nepal.
I am in the process of completing a Master of Science in Applied Economics (MSAE) at Brac University, Bangladesh. Through this master’s I want to deepen my understanding of how education can bring transformation through economics, education policies, and politics. I am also a board member of Nitisala which aims to support local and national governments in developing participatory policies and capacity building of different stakeholders in formulating those policies. I had given my nomination in the local election 2079 B.S for the Deputy Chairman of Tilathi Koiladi Rural Municipality. I have led the political campaign of the current education minister Honorable Shisir Khanal. Currently, I am engaged as Associate Expert (Education) at City Planning Commission, Kathamndu Metropolitan City.
I am the founder chairman of BITS Ladder International Private Limited since 2013 A.D. The vision of the organization is to bridge the gap in the community through collaboration by integrating education, innovation, and technology. During COVID we piloted a Smart learning project (virtual teaching-learning methodology). The teaching-learning process of students was completely halted due to school closure for more than 1.5 years. It led me to construct basic infrastructure with essential resources and pilot the “Innovative Learning Center” (ILC) in the community to complement school education. Integrating both approaches, Bits Ladder is in collaboration with different stakeholders in establishing the Innovating Learning Center in different communities. Through the initiative of Bits Ladder like Stupreneure Conference, Foodathon, we intend to encourage youth entrepreneurship.
My interest areas are organizational management, leadership, capacity building, strategy management, DEI, community, political economy, and educational engagements among others. I regard myself as Development Practioner, Management and Leadership Maestro, and Political.
